Coming into CI 306 I knew very little about computers and technology ion general. Over the semester I have learned many ways to incorporate technology in to a classroom. My problem is I want to teach kindergarten so I have a hard time seeing how a lot of this technology can be used at that level. I do see how I can use the different resources but not the children themselves. In general I have learned how to make power point presentations, movies,  and even podcasts. I feel like I have not learned these tools to the point where I need to be. I often felt behind in class and unsure about the steps that I needed to make. I think that I will use Google Docs , of all the things I learned about I think this will come in most handy when teaching. At the younger level I will probably not use blogging in my class because I don't see the educational point. If I want students to share thoughts I would prefer them to do it face to face with other students. I can't say my thoughts have changed that much since the beginning of the semester. I still don't think that teachers should relie too much on technology. I think it should be used in moderation.

I think that Google Earth is a great program! Its awesome that you can look at places all over the world in just seconds! Google Earth could be used in geography and history lessons. Students will be able t actually see the places they are learning about!

I am really not a fan of blogging. Im not sure that I see the point. We set up an account in class and I have not done anything on it since.

I think that twitter is a little too much for me. I am really not comfortable with using it. I will try to keep an open mind about it!

I think that wikis are great! What a wonderful way to share information!

Teachers.net is a great website to go to to get lesson plans. Its very welll organized and easy to navigate. It has some great lesson plans for all different subjects.

I like the teaching and learning strategies web site beacuse its a nice resource to help with learning new techniques. These strategies have been used often and have gotten great results. This website also gives gives you resources to accsess more information.
